1. Introduction

AI Athletics ("AI Athletics", "we", "us", or "our") provides AI-powered sprint analysis tools for athletes, coaches, and sports teams. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you use the AI Athletics application, website, and related services.

By using AI Athletics, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

  • Name or display name
  • Email address
  • Account credentials and authentication information
  • Profile information you choose to provide

Video and Performance Data

When you use our sprint analysis features, you may upload videos of yourself or athletes. These videos may be processed to generate movement analysis, performance measurements, movement insights, and related feedback.

Depending on the features you use, we may also process performance-related information such as sprint measurements, movement metrics, analysis results, annotations, and progress over time.

Purchase and Subscription Information

If you purchase a subscription or credits through the app, purchases are processed through the relevant app store, such as Apple App Store or Google Play.

AI Athletics does not receive or store your full payment card details. We may receive information necessary to identify your purchase, subscription status, credits, and transaction status.

Technical Information

We may collect technical information necessary to operate and secure the service, such as device information, application version, operating system information, and technical logs.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information only for purposes related to providing and improving AI Athletics, including:

  • Creating and managing user accounts
  • Providing sprint video analysis
  • Generating movement and performance insights
  • Storing and displaying analysis results
  • Tracking performance and progress over time
  • Processing subscriptions and credit purchases
  • Providing customer support
  • Maintaining security and preventing abuse
  • Improving the reliability and functionality of the service

4. AI and Video Processing

AI Athletics uses automated processing and AI-based technologies to analyse uploaded sprint videos and generate performance and movement-related insights.

The results generated by AI Athletics are intended as performance and training insights. They should not be considered medical advice, medical diagnosis, or a substitute for assessment by a qualified healthcare professional.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share or provide access to information to service providers that help us operate AI Athletics. These providers may process information on our behalf and are expected to maintain appropriate security and confidentiality.

Examples may include providers used for authentication, database hosting, cloud infrastructure, video or AI processing, payment and subscription management, and technical services.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or users, or in connection with a legitimate legal or security requirement.

6. Payments and Subscriptions

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed through the relevant platform provider, including Apple App Store or Google Play.

AI Athletics may use RevenueCat to manage subscription and in-app purchase information across supported platforms. RevenueCat may process information such as application user identifiers, purchase information, subscription status, and product information in order to provide these services.

7. Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

However, no internet-based service or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain user accounts, fulfil legitimate business purposes, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.

Specific retention periods may depend on the type of information and how the service is used.

9. Deleting Your Data and Account

AI Athletics allows you to delete individual sprint measurements without deleting your account, or to delete your entire account and associated data.

This process applies to anyone with an AI Athletics account, whether you use the app as an athlete (player) or as a coach.

9.1 Delete individual measurements (keep your account)

You can remove a single sprint measurement and its associated data without closing your AI Athletics account. This applies to both athletes and coaches who have permission to manage that measurement in the app.

9.2 Steps in the app

  1. Open the AI Athletics app and sign in.
  2. Find the measurement you want to remove:
    • On a profile, open the measurement in the timeline or list, or
    • Open the analysis screen for that measurement.
  3. Tap Delete (or the delete control on the measurement card).
  4. Confirm when prompted. Deletion is permanent for that measurement.

9.3 What is removed

For that measurement only, we permanently delete, as applicable:

  • The sprint video file stored for that measurement
  • Analysis results, KPI scores, and related processing data
  • Annotations and notes tied to that measurement

9.4 What is not removed

  • Your account and profile
  • Your other measurements
  • Coach–athlete links and subscription or credit status

Deleting a measurement does not refund video credits or subscription time used to record or analyse that sprint.

9.5 Retention after measurement deletion

Deletion is processed promptly after you confirm in the app. Encrypted backup systems may retain copies for a limited time until backups are rotated in the ordinary course of operations (see section 9.10).

9.6 If you cannot use the app

Email privacy@ai-athletics.nl from your account email and describe which measurement to delete (for example, date and athlete name). We may verify your identity. We aim to respond within one month where applicable data protection law, including the GDPR, requires it.

9.7 Delete your entire account

You can request deletion of your entire AI Athletics account and associated personal information directly through the AI Athletics application or by contacting us.

9.8 Steps in the app

  1. Open the AI Athletics app and sign in.
  2. Go to your profile (your own account, not another user's profile).
  3. Open profile settings (edit profile).
  4. Scroll to Delete account.
  5. If you have an active subscription billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store, cancel that subscription first in the store's subscription settings. The app may block account deletion while a subscription is still active.
  6. Tap Delete account, then type your account email address exactly as shown to confirm.
  7. Tap Schedule deletion.

After you confirm, your account is hidden immediately from other users. For example, linked coaches or athletes will no longer see your profile or your measurements in the app.

9.9 Grace period and permanent deletion

  • Your account and associated app data are scheduled for permanent deletion 30 days after you confirm.
  • During those 30 days you may sign in again and choose Cancel deletion if you change your mind.
  • After the 30-day period, deletion is final and cannot be undone from the app.

9.10 What we delete when your account is permanently removed

We delete or anonymise app-held data linked to you, including, as applicable:

  • Your profile (name, email on profile, club and other profile details)
  • Your authentication account
  • Sprint videos and related files stored for your account
  • All measurements, analysis results, KPI data, and annotations tied to your account
  • Coach–athlete links involving your account
  • Other in-app content stored under your user ID

9.11 If you cannot use the app

If you cannot access the app but still want to delete your account, email privacy@ai-athletics.nl with the email address registered to your AI Athletics account.

We may verify your identity before processing the request. We aim to respond within one month where applicable law requires it.

9.12 What we may keep after deletion

We do not sell your personal information. We may retain limited information in the following cases:

Legal and security

Information we must keep to comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, or protect security and prevent abuse, only for as long as necessary.

Anonymised records

For example, internal transaction or credit-ledger entries that no longer identify you by name or email but are kept for accounting or fraud prevention.

Backups

Encrypted backups may retain data for a limited time until they are overwritten in the ordinary course of operations.

App stores and subscriptions

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play, the Apple App Store, and our partner RevenueCat. We do not store your full payment card details. Purchase and subscription history may remain with those providers according to their policies.

9.13 Apple App Store and Google Play

Apple and Google require apps that offer account creation to provide a way to delete the account. AI Athletics provides in-app account deletion and in-app deletion of individual measurements.

This public page provides additional information about these deletion options and can be linked from our app store listings. You can still delete your data from within the app without visiting this website.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • Request access to your personal information
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Request restriction of certain processing
  • Object to certain processing
  • Request portability of certain information
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Deleting measurements or your account in the app is one way to exercise your right to erasure.

You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In the Netherlands, this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens ( autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl ).

11. Children's Privacy

AI Athletics is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent where required by applicable law.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us without the required consent, please contact us so that we can review and take appropriate action.

12. International Data Transfers

Depending on the services and infrastructure used to operate AI Athletics, personal information may be processed or stored in countries outside your country of residence.

Where required by applicable law, we take appropriate measures to ensure that international transfers of personal information are subject to appropriate safeguards.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
